Heather Inzalaco

Heather brings over 7 years of experience supporting faculty across the full lifecycle of research proposals, from strategic development to award management. A UW–Madison alum, she holds an M.S. in Environmental Conservation from the Nelson Institute and a Ph.D. in Comparative Biomedical Sciences, where her work focused on the mechanisms and conservation implications of infectious wildlife diseases.

Heather draws on her background as an interdisciplinary biologist and collaborative researcher to support investigators in crafting competitive, integrative proposals. She’s especially passionate about helping teams align strong science with sustainability goals and funding priorities.
