In response to evolving changes in the federal funding landscape, the Sustainability Research Hub and the Office of Business Engagement hosted a sustainability research conversation focused on exploring non-federal sources of research support.
Event Details:
- Date: Wednesday, May 14
- Time: 2:30 – 4:00 PM
- Location: Union South (room will be identified on screens throughout building)
This event is designed to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing across campus, with an emphasis on funding opportunities from philanthropic foundations, industry-sponsored research, and corporate partnerships.
Recognizing that expertise on these sources of support is distributed throughout our community, we welcome faculty and staff from all colleges and disciplines to join the discussion. Together, we will explore strategies, share experiences, and work toward building collective resources to support UW–Madison researchers in identifying and pursuing these alternative avenues. We will also be virtually joined by panelists from foundations and industry, including The Sloan Foundation, The Walton Family Foundation, PPG, and P&G.
We hope participants will come away with:
- A greater understanding of the non-federal funding landscape
- Insights into where opportunities may arise
- Guidance on the initial steps for developing partnerships and proposals
